Disneyland Welcomes Its One Billionth Guest, Celebrating 70 Years with Special Ceremony

Andres Robles, an 8-year-old boy from Arizona, was officially honored as Disneyland's one billionth guest during a special event marking the park's 70th anniversary. The celebration took place last Friday on the train station platform along Main Street, where Andres and his family helped unveil an updated park sign proudly stating "Population: 1,000,000,000." This milestone comes more than 70 years after Walt Disney's original park opened on July 17, 1955, coinciding with the United States' 250th anniversary.

The surprised family received a private guided tour that included access to Walt Disney's historic private apartment and an exclusive preview of the newly opened attraction, "Soarin' Across America." The excitement peaked as Mickey and Minnie Mouse personally greeted Andres, making him a memorable part of Disney's history.

Jill Estorino, President of Disneyland Resort, highlighted the significance of the moment, stating, "Welcoming our billionth guest is an extraordinary milestone for Disneyland Resort, reflecting generations of visitors who have made this special place part of their lives.
