8-Year-Old Celebrates Birthday as Disneyland's One-Billionth Visitor with VIP Tour
Andres Robles, an 8-year-old from Arizona, received a remarkable surprise during a family trip to Disneyland in California on Friday. He was officially recognized as the park's one-billionth visitor since its opening on July 17, 1955. The milestone was celebrated with a festive ceremony at the train station entrance to Main Street USA, where Disney characters Mickey and Minnie Mouse greeted him and his family. Together, they unveiled an updated sign marking the park's visitor population as one billion.
As part of the celebration, Robles and his family were given a special VIP tour that included a visit to Walt Disney's private apartment, a preview of the new attraction "Soarin' Across America," and access to other exclusive experiences not typically available to regular visitors. Jill Estorino, president of Disneyland Resort, described welcoming the billionth guest as a significant milestone that reflects the park's enduring place in the lives of generations of visitors. She emphasized Disneyland's legacy as a timeless symbol of Disney storytelling and expressed pride in continuing this tradition for future generations.
