Max Brooks Joins Hapoel Galil Elyon Ahead of New Basketball Season

Hapoel Galil Elyon has officially signed forward Max Brooks as part of its roster strengthening for the upcoming basketball season. The 25-year-old, standing 2.01 meters tall, played last season with Hapoel HaEmek in the Israeli Premier League and averaged 10.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game after joining mid-season. Brooks is known for his versatility and athleticism, particularly his strong performance near the basket.

Born in Maryland, USA, Brooks completed his college basketball career at the University of Massachusetts Lowell before turning professional last year. He began his rookie season in Europe with Lahti in Finland, appearing in 21 league games, before moving to Israel to join the team coached by Sharon Avrahami in HaEmek. Following the team's successful fight to remain in the Premier League, Hapoel Galil Elyon also confirmed that coach Idan Avshalom will continue leading the squad.
