Max Brooks Joins Hapoel Galil Elyon Ahead of New Basketball Season

Hapoel Galil Elyon has officially signed forward Max Brooks as part of their roster strengthening for the upcoming season. The 25-year-old, standing 2.01 meters tall, played last season with Hapoel HaEmek in the Israeli Premier League and averaged 10.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game after joining mid-season. Brooks is known for his versatility and athleticism, particularly his strong performance in the paint.

Born in Maryland, USA, Brooks completed his college basketball career at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, graduating last year. He began his professional career in Europe, playing 21 games in the Finnish league with Lahti before moving to Israel to join Hapoel HaEmek under coach Sharon Avrahami. The club also confirmed that coach Idan Avshalom will continue leading the team into the new season.
