Nofei Gideon Neighborhood Marks One Year With Continued Expansion in Kedumim

The community of Kedumim recently celebrated the first anniversary of the Nofei Gideon neighborhood, named after the late Gidon Perry, who was killed near the Bar-On industrial zone. The event was attended by key figures including Kedumim Council Head Uzi Veitik, Rabbi Zvi Farbstein, and leaders of the Nachala movement, Daniela Weiss and Zvi Elimelech Sharav. Weiss shared that she became involved in advancing the neighborhood after being impressed by Veitik's determination.

Rabbi Farbstein emphasized that the residents of Kedumim are driven by faith and commitment to the settlement vision. Veitik reviewed the neighborhood's development over the past year, highlighting its role in strengthening security in the area. He noted that the ascent to Mount Kidon has helped prevent takeover attempts from the nearby village of Kadum and enhanced the safety of adjacent neighborhoods. Security measures such as cameras, radars, and a fortified shelter have been installed.

Looking ahead, Veitik outlined future development plans including the paving of the "Western Road" to connect western Kedumim neighborhoods, further expansion of Nofei Gideon, and a new construction phase. He affirmed the council's ongoing dedication to developing the settlement and expanding the community, underscoring a shared pioneering spirit and the historic duty to settle and develop the land of Israel.
