40 Young Families From Hesder Yeshiva Settle in Nof HaGalil, Boosting Community Growth

Around 40 young families, graduates and students of the Hesder Yeshiva in Nof HaGalil, have recently relocated to the city and participated in a celebratory welcome event with the mayor and yeshiva leadership. The gathering took place in the city council hall and included families with children, including the youngest resident, one-week-old Erez Weiss. Mayor Ronen Plot warmly greeted the families, emphasizing the city's commitment to supporting them through education, housing, infrastructure, employment, and quality of life improvements. He praised the families for bringing values of Zionism, giving, service, and love of the land, calling them key partners in the city's ongoing development.

The families belong to the growing community of Hesder Yeshiva alumni in Nof HaGalil, many of whom hold academic degrees in education, social work, and other fields, with some already integrated into local workplaces and the education system. Municipal settlement coordinator and yeshiva alumnus Mataniel Ben Gigi highlighted the collaboration between the city and yeshiva as vital to strengthening the community when graduates choose to settle and raise families locally.

Yeshiva head Rabbi Dani Saglis described the settlement as a direct continuation of the yeshiva's educational path, combining Torah study, public responsibility, Zionism, and community involvement. He expressed pride in seeing graduates establish homes and contribute their skills and spirit to the city's growth. The event concluded with a festive group photo of all families alongside city and yeshiva leaders on the city hall balcony.
