Armed Hit Squad Opens Fire at Car Wash, Killing One and Severely Injuring Another
A brutal assassination squad, hired to commit murder, launched an indiscriminate shooting spree at a car wash in the Bilal neighborhood, resulting in one death and one severe injury. The incident occurred on November 22, 2025, when the three assailants, heavily armed and masked, arrived at the location intending to kill a specific target but finding the house empty, shifted to shooting anyone present.
The attackers, identified as Abd al-Malek Garban (21) from Jisr az-Zarqa, Bilal Odeh (33) from Reineh, and a minor, were equipped with a Kalashnikov assault rifle, a handgun, masks, gloves, and had fake license plates on their getaway vehicle. Abd al-Malek fired directly at Basel Farouni, 22, who was at the car wash to clean his car; Farouni was hit in the heart and died at the scene. Meanwhile, the minor pursued an employee who tried to hide inside a car. When the minor’s gun jammed, Abd al-Malek took the weapon, cleared the jam, and continued shooting the employee multiple times.
In total, about 50 bullets were fired inside the business, turning it into a war zone. The employee survived but sustained severe injuries including multiple fractures and facial wounds, requiring surgeries, prolonged hospitalization, and extensive physical and psychological rehabilitation. The perpetrators fled, discarding weapons, masks, gloves, and dismantling the fake license plates in an attempt to erase evidence.
The Northern District Police’s YAMAR unit launched a manhunt that led to the arrest of the three suspects. They now face charges including aggravated murder, attempted murder, and illegal possession and transportation of weapons. The indictment was filed this morning at the Nazareth District Court by the Northern District Prosecutor’s Office.
