IDF Captive Survivor Eli-H Cohen and Partner Ziv Avod Celebrate Emotional Henna Ceremony
Eli-H Cohen, an Israeli who survived 505 days in Hamas captivity, and his partner Ziv Avod held a heartfelt henna ceremony marking the start of their new life together. The event took place yesterday in a warm, family-oriented atmosphere, symbolizing hope and renewal after the traumatic events of October 7. The couple is preparing for their wedding scheduled for August 19.
The celebration included close family, friends, and fellow captivity survivors Noa Argamani, Or Levi, Itay Regev, and Maya Regev, who joined to support and share in the joyous occasion. The henna ceremony was organized by Moran Spiegel, with traditional decorations by Kinneret Henna & Gina Le'Arusa, creating a homely and hopeful environment for the guests.
A particularly moving moment occurred when Eli-H wore a special galabiya inscribed with "Dad, thank you," a phrase that has accompanied him since his captivity. During the war, many grooms wore galabiyas with "Bring Them Home" written on them, but Eli-H chose to replace this with a personal message symbolizing gratitude, faith, and the triumph of life as he prepares to marry.
