Three Sailors Killed in Deadly U.S. Strike in the Strait of Hormuz
Three sailors were killed in the Strait of Hormuz after the U.S. military bombed an oil tanker, with their bodies recovered off the coast of Oman, as President Trump said 49 Tomahawk missiles were launched and warned, "There will be a third time."
India's shipping minister confirmed that three Indian sailors were killed in the U.S. strike on a tanker near the Strait of Hormuz. The bodies of the three sailors were found off the coast of Oman, an event that further inflamed the conflict between Washington and Tehran.
Trump made clear that U.S. forces bombed Iran, and added that 49 Tomahawk missiles were fired during the strikes on Iran. According to him, there will also be a third time if an agreement is not reached soon.
The tensions escalated after reports that Iran had struck an American military helicopter with ballistic missiles, prompting Kuwait to announce the closure of its airspace because of the Iranian attacks. The U.S. released footage of the strikes on Iran last night.
