Max Heidegger Officially Leaves Bnei Herzliya to Return to Spanish Club
Bnei Herzliya announced on July 1, 2026, that Max Heidegger, one of the top Israeli guards in the Premier League, has officially left the team. Heidegger, who was loaned mid-season to the Spanish club Burgos due to the war, exercised an exit option in his contract with Bnei Herzliya in exchange for significant compensation. He has now returned to Burgos, where he played during half of the previous season.
During his half-season stint in Israel, Heidegger delivered impressive averages, scoring 15.2 points, grabbing 3.5 rebounds, and providing 3.1 assists in 25 minutes per game. He also performed well in Spain, averaging 12.4 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. Heidegger aims to maintain his high level of play in the upcoming season with Burgos.
Bnei Herzliya continues its preparations for the next season with the goal of building a strong roster following Heidegger's departure.
