Emily Damari Reveals How Captivity Strengthened Her Faith on Connected Season 12

Emily Damari, who was held captive for 471 days, will appear in the 12th season of the Israeli show "Connected," where she will share deeply personal and emotional moments from her life. In a special interview, Damari discussed how her faith sustained her during the most difficult times of her captivity and how it grew stronger through the experience. She revealed that viewers will see her praying in the mornings and evenings, highlighting the spiritual side of her journey.

Damari explained that although faith was always part of her life, her time in captivity intensified it. She described experiencing extraordinary events and signs that reinforced her belief in divine providence. One poignant moment she shared was reciting Psalm of Thanksgiving each morning despite being in the worst place in her life, which she called the greatest act she could do.

She also recounted moments when she felt a special sense of divine protection, such as surviving the explosion of a tunnel and a nearby house where she had been. Reflecting on these experiences, she expressed feelings of awe and gratitude, mentioning prayers like "Shema Yisrael" and "Baruch Hashem."
