Emily Damari Opens Up on New Reality Show and Leaves Door Open for Politics

Emily Damari is set to appear in the 12th season of the Israeli reality series "Mechubarim," marking her first public sharing of deeply personal moments since her release from captivity. In a special interview, Damari explained her decision to join the show, emphasizing that it felt like the best way to document her life during the year following her return. She described the experience as a personal record, saying, "It will be the best document I will have in my life."

Damari revealed that she only agreed to participate once she felt fully ready to share her story, stating, "I didn’t do anything until I felt prepared. 'Mechubarim' came at a time when I felt mature enough for the situation and able to present the best version of myself." She also discussed adjusting to life in the public eye, acknowledging the challenges but expressing confidence in her coping abilities.

Regarding her relationship with her partner, Daniel Amit, Damari highlighted the mutual respect they maintain, especially around privacy and media exposure. When asked about a potential future in politics, she did not rule it out, responding with "never say never," though she clarified that it is not currently part of her plans. She also admitted she has no specific political agenda she wishes to pursue at this time.
