Woman Arrested After Stealing Car in Maale Adumim During Bakery Visit

On Tuesday evening around 8:00 PM in Maale Adumim, a resident briefly left his car outside a bakery to buy pastries, only to discover his vehicle had been stolen. Police from the Judea and Samaria district quickly launched a search and located the stolen car heading out of the city. The suspect, a local woman in her 30s, was apprehended shortly thereafter by patrol officers and taken for questioning at the police station.

Investigations revealed that the woman had never obtained a valid driver's license. While driving the stolen vehicle, she violated traffic laws by driving against the flow of traffic on a city street and collided with several cars, fortunately causing no injuries. During interrogation, she claimed to have taken hundreds of driving lessons but failed the licensing exam and said she intended to travel to Jerusalem to meet her partner, but no bus was available at the time.

The police continue to investigate the incident. The swift response by Maale Adumim police led to the recovery of the vehicle and the suspect's arrest within a short time frame.
