Israeli Woman Steals Car in Ma'ale Adumim to Reach Partner, Police Arrest Her

A woman in her 30s from Ma'ale Adumim was arrested on Tuesday after stealing a car outside a bakery in the city. The car owner had briefly left his vehicle to buy pastries when he noticed it was stolen and immediately reported it to the police. Officers from the Ma'ale Adumim station launched a rapid pursuit and located the vehicle heading out of the city. They stopped the driver and detained her for questioning.

Police investigations revealed that during the unauthorized drive, the suspect violated traffic laws by driving against the flow of traffic on one street and collided with several vehicles, though no injuries were reported. Further checks showed she did not hold a valid driver's license. The suspect told investigators she had taken hundreds of driving lessons but never passed the licensing exam. She claimed her intention was to reach Jerusalem to meet her partner, and since no bus was available at the time, she decided to take the car.

The stolen vehicle was returned to its owner, and police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
