Indian Couple's YouTube-Guided Home Birth Ends in Mother's Death

A young couple from Tamil Nadu, India, chose to deliver their second child at home using only YouTube instructional videos instead of professional medical assistance. The birth itself was successful, and their newborn daughter was healthy. However, shortly after delivery, the mother, Sasi Kala, began suffering from severe bleeding. She was rushed to a government hospital and later transferred to a private facility for advanced care. Despite medical efforts, her condition rapidly worsened, and she tragically passed away. Local health authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, and the police have also opened a case to examine the events leading to the fatal outcome.
