Satmar Honors 'Thousand Ministers' for Raising Millions for Holy Land Institutions
In the Satmar community in Kiryat Joel, a gratitude event titled "The King Has Brought Us" was held to honor the 'Thousand Ministers,' emissaries of the Satmar Rebbe who helped raise millions of dollars for Yated Lev institutions in the Holy Land. The event was combined with a Sheva Brachot celebration for Rabbi Chaim Shlomo Fisher, the Rebbe's trusted secretary and right-hand man, and took place quietly without noise or fanfare in the Rebbe's residence.
In a related development, the Satmar Rebbe inaugurated two new celebration halls in Kiryat Joel within just 25 minutes, aiming to significantly reduce the costs of weddings and other celebrations for Hasidim. During the festive meal, the Rebbe praised the energetic activists, stating, "Thanks to you, the expenses here are the lowest in the world."
Other notable Hasidic events reported include the Sadigura Rebbe's surprise visit to a hotel kitchen in Austria to inspect kosher standards, a rare Pidyon Haben ceremony for a 57-year-old man who had never been redeemed before in Bnei Brak, and the unveiling of a new study hall by the Arelui Rebbe in Beit Shemesh. Additionally, various Hasidic communities marked the yahrzeit of the Or HaChaim and other revered leaders with festive gatherings and Torah discourses.
These events reflect the vibrant spiritual and communal life within the Hasidic world, emphasizing charity, Torah study, and honoring the legacies of past leaders. The Satmar community's recent initiatives highlight their commitment to supporting institutions in Israel and making religious celebrations more accessible and affordable for their members.
