Israeli Forward Karam Zoabi Joins Portuguese Cup Holder Turrisense
Israeli forward Karam Zoabi, 20, has signed with Turrisense, the Portuguese Cup holder, after a challenging season with Rio Ave. Zoabi made only six appearances and scored one goal for Rio Ave in the past season. Turrisense, a modest club from Portugal's second division, caused a major upset last season by winning the national cup, defeating teams like Casa Pia and Sporting Lisbon in the final.
Zoabi is expected to sign a contract with Turrisense until summer 2029 and will complete his medical tests in the coming days. Over his time at Rio Ave, Zoabi accumulated 19 appearances, scoring two goals and providing two assists, alongside six appearances for the club's reserve team, where he scored once and assisted once. Notably, his brother Omri Zoabi has also joined Turrisense's reserve squad.
