Tiberias signs veteran goalkeeper Gad Amos from Hapoel Tel Aviv
Iritoni Tiberias has officially signed goalkeeper Gad Amos on a one-year contract, the club announced through his agent, Ziv Sternberg. The move adds an experienced keeper to Tiberias, which has already secured its place in the league and will begin next season in the Premier League with a six-point deduction.
Amos is regarded as one of the most seasoned goalkeepers in Israeli football. In the 2023/24 season, he was named the Premier League Goalkeeper of the Year with Maccabi Bnei Reineh. Across his career, he has made more than 130 top-flight appearances, including spells with Bnei Sakhnin, Kiryat Shmona, Hapoel Haifa and Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Last season, Amos played sparingly for Bnei Reineh and served as the backup to Lior Glicklich. Midway through the campaign, he moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he appeared in just one match, a 4-1 loss to Maccabi Haifa in the championship playoff. The club is now set to enter the coming season with Amos as part of its squad.
