Israeli Forward Karam Zoabi Joins Portuguese Cup Holder Turrisense
Israeli forward Karam Zoabi, 20, has signed with Turrisense, the Portuguese second-division club that won the national cup last season. Zoabi, who played for Rio Ave in the Portuguese top league, made only six appearances and scored one goal this past season. He is expected to complete his medical tests soon and sign a contract until summer 2029.
Turrisense, a modest club in Portugal's second tier, caused a major upset by winning the Portuguese Cup, defeating teams like Casa Pia and Sporting Lisbon in the final. Zoabi has totaled 19 appearances for Rio Ave, scoring two goals and providing two assists, along with six appearances for their reserve team, where he scored once and assisted once. Notably, his brother Omri Zoabi recently signed with Turrisense's reserve squad.
