Israeli Football Officials Delay National League Launch Over Budget Dispute

A major controversy erupted in Israeli football following the announcement of the new National League's establishment starting in the 2027/2028 season. The initial plan to approve the league's launch faced strong opposition from smaller clubs concerned about financial disparities. The league will now begin in the 2028/2029 season.
