Israeli Singer Danny Robas and Author Eshkol Nevo Release New Love Song Ahead of Summer Concerts

Israeli singer and songwriter Danny Robas has released a new love song written by acclaimed author Eshkol Nevo. The collaboration is described as rare and surprising, with the song debuting just before Robas's upcoming summer concerts. These concerts will take place on July 17 at the Shuni Amphitheater, where Robas will be joined by special guest Danny Bassan.

Robas expressed that in these turbulent times, love songs provide a stable anchor amid chaos. He praised Nevo's writing, noting the seamless crossing of boundaries between author and listener, creator and audience. Robas's band has completed the arrangement of the song "Spread Your Arms" in preparation for the summer shows.

Eshkol Nevo shared the inspiration behind the song, describing a sudden surge of love in midlife that sparked a feverish songwriting process. He recounted sending one of his poems to Robas after a joint performance, discovering that Robas felt a deep connection to the lyrics and wished to compose and sing them as his own. Nevo expressed strong emotional excitement about the new song and a desire to remain connected through it.

This is not the first time Robas has collaborated with creators outside the music world. Previously, he composed a song written by his wife, Ilail Tamir Robas, about aging and life changes. He also composed a tribute song for Captain Yahal Gazit, who fell in battle in Gaza, as part of the "Tankers Remember" project by the Yad LaShiryon Foundation. Robas described the lyrics as deeply moving.

The new song by Robas and Nevo will feature prominently in Robas's summer performances at the Shuni Amphitheater on July 17, alongside Danny Bassan.
