Israeli Aid Mission to Depart for Venezuela Following Devastating Earthquake
Following a severe earthquake in Venezuela, an Israeli aid delegation is set to depart tomorrow under the directives of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar. The joint mission, comprising representatives from the Foreign Ministry, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and the Home Front Command, aims to assist earthquake victims and assess damage on the ground.
The Foreign Ministry's involvement will be led by Ambassador Yoed Magen, who has personal ties to Venezuela, while the IDF contingent will be commanded by Brigadier General Elad Adri, head of the Home Front Command. The team includes engineering experts and diplomatic officials who will collaborate closely with Venezuelan counterparts to provide immediate and effective assistance.
This deployment follows a comprehensive review led by the National Security Council to coordinate efforts among the involved agencies. Additional experts from the Home Front Command and the National Emergency Authority are expected to join the mission as needs evolve. The Israeli team’s goal is to deliver professional and efficient support tailored to the changing conditions on the ground in Venezuela.
