Israeli Aid Team Arrives in Venezuela to Assist Earthquake Relief Efforts
Israel has deployed an advance team of its aid delegation to Venezuela following a severe earthquake that struck the country. The mission aims to provide immediate support to local authorities and assist in rescue and recovery operations. The advance team is led by Yoed Magen, Israel's designated ambassador to Mexico representing the Foreign Ministry, and Brigadier General Elad Edri, head of the Home Front Command staff, commanding the military delegation.
Upon arrival, the Israeli team conducted a rapid assessment and operational planning, holding intensive meetings with local officials, emergency responders, and other partners in the disaster zone. These discussions focused on accurately mapping urgent needs, coordinating joint activities, and finalizing preparations for the full deployment of the aid mission.
Additional members of the Israeli aid delegation are expected to join the advance team in the coming days. Once fully assembled, the Israeli experts will work closely with Venezuelan authorities to support extensive rehabilitation efforts. Israel brings extensive experience from past earthquake responses, complex emergencies, and humanitarian missions worldwide, which will inform their assistance in Venezuela.
