Mysterious Vigilante in Jalisco Ties Motorcycle Thieves to Light Poles in Public Humiliation

In Jalisco, Mexico, a mysterious vigilante dubbed the "Batman of Lagos de Moreno" has taken justice into his own hands by targeting local motorcycle thieves. Over the past two weeks, this anonymous figure has been capturing suspected thieves, binding them to streetlight poles with industrial tape, and publicly humiliating them. At least five men have been found tied up in this manner, with cat whiskers drawn on their faces and the word "thief" written on their bodies to shame them in front of passersby.

One widely shared incident showed two men tied back-to-back to a pole, with a pink sign above detailing their alleged crimes and their stolen motorcycle displayed nearby. The vigilante also leaves the stolen motorcycles at the scene to return them to their owners. Despite social media support for this local hero, Mexican authorities have condemned these acts as illegal. Police have rescued the bound men, provided medical checks, and emphasized that despite the suspects' criminal records, they are considered victims of assault and false imprisonment in these cases.

Law enforcement is simultaneously pursuing the original theft suspects and searching for the vigilante, having identified two vehicles believed to be used by him in his operations.
