Israeli Minister Gila Gamliel Highlights Mossad Role in Gaza Voluntary Migration Plan

Israeli Innovation, Science and Technology Minister Gila Gamliel described the recent ceasefire agreement with Lebanon as a significant strategic victory for Israel during an interview on Channel 7. She emphasized that the agreement, reached with U.S. involvement, aims to dismantle Hezbollah's weapons and reduce Iranian influence in Lebanon. Gamliel noted that Israeli forces maintain control over key strategic points along the border and remain prepared to respond to any threats to northern Israel.

Turning to Gaza, Gamliel outlined a political plan she initiated for voluntary evacuation from the Gaza Strip. She revealed that the Mossad has recently become involved in managing this initiative alongside the Defense Ministry's established administration. According to internal research cited by Gamliel, there is widespread desire among Gaza residents to emigrate, facilitated by ongoing military pressure and efforts to neutralize terrorist infrastructure both above and below ground. She stated that Israel currently controls over 60% of Gaza's territory and aims to fully neutralize Hamas's military and political control.

Gamliel's ultimate goal for Gaza includes complete demilitarization and the potential for future Jewish settlement following voluntary migration. Regarding Iran, she expressed deep skepticism about diplomatic efforts to restrain the regime, advocating instead for its complete removal to enable a new government more favorable to Israel. She also mentioned involvement in the "Cyrus Accords," intended to restore cooperation between Iran and Israel through opposition elements within Iran.

On a personal note, Gamliel shared her longstanding commitment to Jewish tradition, including weekly Torah study sessions held at her home for nearly two decades. Looking ahead to upcoming Likud primaries, she expressed confidence in the party's vitality and its ability to support Prime Minister Netanyahu in addressing Israel's challenges.
