Yair Golan Unveils 100-Day Plan to Restore Israeli Control Over Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon, and Iran

Yair Golan, chairman of the Democratic Party and former IDF deputy chief of staff, has revealed a comprehensive political plan aimed at restoring Israeli control across four key fronts: Gaza, the West Bank, northern Israel near Lebanon, and Iran. The plan, designed for implementation within the first 100 days of the next government, proposes a multi-pronged approach to security and diplomacy.

In Gaza, Golan advocates adopting the Trump administration's plan to replace Hamas with a technocratic Palestinian government recognized as the official authority. This transition would be supported by moderate regional countries and international supervision, alongside efforts to close borders with Egypt to prevent smuggling and initiate disarmament pressures on Hamas.

Regarding the West Bank, the plan emphasizes a firm stance against Jewish terrorism, halting annexation moves, and enhancing security coordination with the Palestinian Authority and Jordan. Golan calls for reforms within the Palestinian Authority under international oversight to establish it as a moderate and effective governing body.

In northern Israel, Golan proposes maintaining the IDF along the border ridges with Lebanon while allowing the Lebanese army, supported by international forces, to deploy in southern Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah's presence south of the Litani River and restrict long-range weapons. The plan also includes rallying moderate Arab states to strengthen Lebanon's government and reduce Iranian influence.

On the Iranian front, Golan stresses restoring the strategic alliance with the United States to ensure Israel's influence in any nuclear agreement. He supports negotiating a new nuclear deal with stringent, long-term inspections, forming a regional coalition with moderate Arab countries to limit Iran's freedom of action, and reimposing global sanctions if Iran violates terms. The plan also calls for removing all highly enriched nuclear material from Iran.

Golan's strategy aims to reassert Israeli control and security through diplomatic, military, and regional cooperation measures, addressing threats from Hamas, Jewish terrorism, Hezbollah, and Iran while strengthening ties with the US and moderate Arab states.
