Yair Golan Says U.S.-Iran Deal Bypassed Israel, Blasts Netanyahu
Democrats chairman Yair Golan said Israelis woke up to a U.S.-Iran agreement that, in his words, was made over Israel’s head. He argued that the deal signed by Donald Trump pours billions into the ayatollahs’ regime, leaves Iran’s nuclear infrastructure intact, keeps the ballistic missile threat in place, and gives a lifeline to what he called the murderous regime in Tehran.
Golan said the agreement was "a summary of many years of failure." He also used the moment to attack Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying, "Netanyahu is good for Hamas. Netanyahu is good for Iran. Netanyahu is good for Hezbollah. Netanyahu is not good for Israel." He added that replacing Netanyahu is not only a political need, but an essential security requirement.
The comments come amid renewed political criticism over how Israel is handled in major regional and international agreements, with Golan framing the deal as a strategic setback for Israel.
