Thousands Attend Sanz-Kloiznburg Rebbe's Memorial Tisch in Borough Park
The Rebbe of Sanz-Kloiznburg held a grand memorial tisch at his large study hall in Borough Park to commemorate the yahrzeit of his father, the late Rebbe known as the 'Shefa Chaim' of Sanz. Thousands of Hasidim gathered alongside a distinguished assembly of rabbis, dayanim, and rebbes from across Borough Park to participate in the event.
A notable moment occurred when the senior American Hasidic halachic authority, the Rebbe of Seredehali, and the young Rebbe of Skulen were honored unusually by being seated immediately to the right and left of the Sanz-Kloiznburg Rebbe, ahead of all other rabbis and rebbes on the stage. The rebbes engaged warmly in Torah discourse throughout the tisch.
The Sanz-Kloiznburg Rebbe delivered deep Torah insights centered on his father's extensive teachings, emphasizing his immense dedication to Torah study and transmission to future generations. Near the event's conclusion, the Rebbe awarded special certificates of recognition to outstanding yeshiva students who had mastered thousands of pages of Talmud by heart, fulfilling the late Rebbe's wish to see learned young men proficient in Shas.
Prominent philanthropist Rabbi Yosef Aryeh Briner honored his son-in-law, Rabbi Pinchas Friedman, by pouring the cup of blessing, while the important young scholar Chanokh Zindel Friedman, tested on 800 pages of Talmud, was honored with the cup's elevation. After the tisch, thousands of Hasidim received a blessing cup from the Rebbe. Among the attendees was one of the leading Sanz-Kloiznburg community donors, Rabbi Michal Rosenberg from Montreal.
