Israeli National Cyber Directorate Reports Surge in Iranian Cyberattacks Since 2026
Yossi Karadi, head of Israel's National Cyber Directorate, revealed in an interview with the German newspaper Die Welt that Iranian cyberattacks against Israel have sharply increased since the outbreak of war with Iran in 2026. Karadi detailed that during Operation "With the Lion," approximately 1,600 hostile cyber incidents were recorded. About a year later, during Operation "Roar of the Lion," the number of attacks surged to around 4,800. These cyberattacks targeted Israel's critical infrastructure, key organizations, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the general public, reflecting a broad and intensified Iranian cyber campaign against the country.
