Man Shot Dead Near Nazareth Following Another Shooting Injury in Wadi Ara
A man in his 30s was fatally shot early Monday morning in Yafia, near Nazareth. Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics found the victim unconscious and without vital signs inside a vehicle at 6:15 a.m. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have launched an investigation and are searching for suspects, with the motive and circumstances under review.
The shooting follows another violent incident Sunday night in Barta'a, located in the Wadi Ara region, where a man in his 50s was seriously wounded after being shot as he left a wedding. MDA medics treated him on site and transported him to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in serious condition but conscious.
Since the start of 2026, a total of 141 Arab citizens have been killed in Israel amid ongoing violence. The recent shootings highlight a continuing pattern of deadly attacks in the area, including multiple murders within short time frames and related criminal conflicts.
Authorities continue to investigate both incidents as part of broader efforts to address the surge in violence affecting Arab communities in northern Israel.
