Liverpool Targets New Affordable Transfers After Missing Out on Diomande

Liverpool had heavily counted on signing Yann Diomande as their major summer acquisition, but the Ivorian talent chose to join Paris Saint-Germain instead. Following this setback, English media report that Liverpool is now exploring other transfer options that are expected to be more affordable than their rejected €100 million bid for RB Leipzig's star player. Liverpool had offered €100 million to Leipzig but was turned down, while the player himself preferred to play under PSG coach Luis Enrique.

Among the names Liverpool is considering is Bradley Barcola, a young French international who might lose playing time with PSG due to the arrival of Diomande and the presence of established stars like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué. Barcola is also reportedly on Arsenal's radar. Additionally, Liverpool is evaluating even cheaper alternatives such as Saïd Al-Maleh from Köln, Mathias Fernandez-Prado from Lille, and Jankoba Minta from Brighton.

Liverpool is thus recalibrating its transfer strategy to focus on promising talents who come at a lower cost, aiming to strengthen the squad without repeating the costly pursuit of high-profile players like the Leipzig star.
