Israeli Police Seek Public Help in Search for Missing 21-Year-Old Malka Rachel Azulai
Israeli police are actively searching for Malka Rachel Azulai, a 21-year-old woman from Kiryat Gat who has been missing since August 7, 2025, when she was last seen in Jerusalem. Authorities continue extensive investigative efforts involving multiple police units, including investigative, technological, and operational teams. Officers from the Kiryat Gat station have conducted wide-ranging searches across the country, supported by volunteers and additional units, and have also checked health institutions, questioned acquaintances, and inspected abandoned buildings.
The family of Azulai has accused welfare services and the police of withholding critical information about her disappearance, alleging a cover-up to silence her parents. They have taken legal steps by appealing to the Juvenile Court in Kiryat Gat to expose the handling of the case. Previously, reports indicated that Azulai sought alternative housing at a religious study center in Beit Shemesh but left after two days, expressing concerns to her sister. Police were called and visited the center early in the morning, where Azulai assured them she was fine. However, about an hour and a half later, she left the center and has not been seen since.
The police urge anyone with information about Azulai’s whereabouts to contact the Israel Police emergency number 100 or the Kiryat Gat police station at 08-6872205.
