Palestinian With Security Background Arrested Driving After Fourth License Suspension in West Bank

Israeli traffic police in the West Bank arrested a 42-year-old Palestinian man from Hebron for running a red light. Upon inspection, authorities discovered that the driver, who has a prior security-related criminal record and served prison time, was operating a public vehicle despite having his driving license suspended four times. This marks the fourth occasion the suspect has been caught driving under suspension, indicating blatant disregard for the law and court rulings against him. Additionally, the vehicle he drove did not match the type permitted by his previous license. The suspect was detained and transferred to the traffic investigation unit of the Judea and Samaria district for questioning. Following the investigation, a traffic offense proceeding was initiated, and he was imprisoned. Furthermore, the police officer in charge ordered the impoundment of the public vehicle for 30 days, and it was towed to a storage lot.
