Eilat Mayor Responds to Recent Security Alert Issued by Shin Bet Chief

Eli Lankri, the mayor of Eilat, addressed the recent security concerns following a warning issued by Shin Bet chief David Zini regarding the city. Lankri stated that, according to information from local hoteliers, there were no cancellations as a result of the alert, and the warning did not deter visitors. He emphasized the importance of taking every threat seriously, especially in the aftermath of the events of October 7. Lankri also expressed appreciation that the Shin Bet chief focused intelligence and operational attention on Eilat.
