Jerusalem Man Proposes with Fake Ambulance Rescue, Creating Viral Sensation

David Shukron, a 24-year-old from Jerusalem, orchestrated an extraordinary marriage proposal that nearly ended in a hospital visit. Determined to create a unique experience, Shukron spent nearly a year planning and two months securing official permits from Magen David Adom (MDA) to stage a fake medical emergency. The elaborate setup included paramedic actors, an ambulance, and a stretcher, all designed to surprise his fiancée, Onag.

The dramatic moment unfolded at Onag's home when Shukron pretended to be in distress in the bathroom, prompting his sister to call for help. Paramedics, played by his cousin and a volunteer, arrived and quickly placed him on a stretcher. The ambulance ride was filled with tension as Onag believed they were heading to Laniado Hospital in Netanya. However, just before arrival, the ambulance stopped at a decorated location where Shukron proposed, catching her completely off guard.

Photographer Yehonatan Dahan, who specializes in hidden-camera productions, captured the event with multiple cameras and a hidden microphone. He described it as the most original proposal he had ever filmed. The video has since gone viral, amassing over a million views and receiving overwhelmingly positive reactions, though some criticized the staged stress. Shukron defended the approach, saying it reflected their personalities and promised an equally exciting wedding to come.
