Three Jewish Shepherds Injured in Stone-Throwing Attack Near Givat Mekaneh Abraham in Gush Etzion

Three Jewish shepherds were lightly injured Sunday morning after Arab assailants threw stones at them near Givat Mekaneh Abraham in eastern Gush Etzion. The incident began when a shepherd reported being surrounded by several Bedouins from the Rashida village, armed with sticks and stones, while tending his flock. Residents who rushed to assist found the shepherd lying unconscious on the ground, surrounded by the attackers. When the assailants noticed the arriving residents, they began throwing stones to prevent them from reaching the injured shepherd. During the rescue, two additional youths were also injured. The shepherd and the two others were evacuated from the scene with light injuries.

The Israel Defense Forces and police were dispatched immediately, initiating an investigation and conducting searches to locate the suspects. Authorities described the event as a "violent friction incident involving stone-throwing." Medical personnel on site confirmed all three victims were lightly wounded. Police efforts to apprehend the perpetrators continued even hours after the attack.
