IDF Kills Armed Hezbollah Militants Near Lebanon Amid New Agreement
Following the signing of a new understanding between Israel and Lebanon, the IDF's Egoz unit under the command of Division 36 identified several armed Hezbollah militants equipped with RPGs operating near the security zone in southern Lebanon, close to the Naftia area. Upon detection, the Israeli Air Force, guided by ground forces, launched an airstrike that eliminated the militants and destroyed the building they were operating from, aiming to neutralize the threat to Israeli troops. In a subsequent operation in the same area, the multi-dimensional unit destroyed a Hezbollah launcher posing a danger to IDF forces. The IDF stated, "The IDF will not allow the terrorist organization Hezbollah to harm Israeli civilians or its forces and will continue to act to remove threats."
