Arab media outlets have reported a wave of arrests targeting prominent politicians and members of parliament in Iraq's Green Zone, located in central Baghdad. The operation is reportedly overseen by Iraq's new Prime Minister, Ali Al-Zaydi, as part of ongoing corruption investigations. According to the Qatari newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, at least one senior politician is among those detained during the crackdown.
