Pro-Palestinian Group Urges US to Investigate Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir
A pro-Palestinian organization led by Keren Hind Rajab has formally requested the U.S. Department of Justice to open a criminal investigation against Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. The request comes ahead of Ben-Gvir's planned visit to New York in early July. The group accuses Ben-Gvir of war crimes, incitement to genocide, and torture, alleging that his policies toward security prisoners have caused the deaths of dozens of Palestinians and also harmed American civilians. Jake Rom, the organization's U.S. representative, called on authorities to arrest Ben-Gvir upon his arrival, stating, "This moment is a test, whether the government is more committed to Israeli immunity than to the rule of law."
