Alon Ohel Reveals New Relationship With Close Friend Who Fought for His Release
Musician and former hostage Alon Ohel, 25, shared his first photos on Saturday with his new partner, Goni Dor, also 25, in an Instagram story. Dor had been one of Ohel’s close friends even before he was abducted, and she campaigned for his release while he was held in Gaza.
Ohel was freed in October as part of the latest hostage deal, after 738 difficult days in Hamas captivity. He was kidnapped from the Nova festival on October 7, suffered serious eye injuries, and endured severe torture while in captivity. He is now undergoing rehabilitation.
In February, to mark his 25th birthday, Ohel, a pianist and musician, performed an emotional show at Hangar 11 alongside leading artists. At the end of the concert, he played piano alone and performed “A Song Without a Name,” the same piece he had played just before his abduction.
According to Eli Sharabi, who was released before Ohel, Ohel was known to play that song for others deep inside the tunnels in Gaza. The post comes as Ohel publicly shares a new chapter in his personal life after his return home.
