Australian Man Arrested in Thailand After Teen Girl's Body Found in Suitcase
An Australian citizen, 45-year-old Simon Carman, was arrested in Thailand on suspicion of murdering 17-year-old Tonchonok Donhomla. Local media said her body was found in a suitcase with severe signs of violence.
Police believe Carman was identified through security-camera footage showing him entering a hotel in Pattaya with the victim. A few hours later, he was seen leaving alone with a large black suitcase.
The suitcase was later found near railway tracks about a 10-minute drive from the hotel where he had been staying. Carman is suspected of murder, an offense that carries either life imprisonment or the death penalty in Thailand.
