Hop! Channel Co-Founder Alona Avet Dies at 67
Alona Avet, one of the founders of Hop! Channel and the Hop Media group, has died at 67 after a long battle with cancer. Avet helped establish the channel in 2000 with her partner, Tamir Paul, and later guided its growth into one of Israel's most influential content platforms for children.
In a farewell statement, Hop! Channel described Avet as a visionary and a doer, a natural entrepreneur and a values-driven leader. The channel said she had a deep commitment to early childhood, education, and creating high-quality, meaningful content for children and families.
