Reports in Brazil say Barcelona star Raphinha is at the center of a financial and family dispute, while his wife has denied claims that he is struggling economically or considering a move to Saudi Arabia. The controversy has continued to circulate despite her public defense.

According to the Brazilian press, Raphinha’s father, Rafael Belloli, allegedly took about 80% of the player’s income from image rights and commercial agreements, and did so without Raphinha fully realizing it. Those reports say the issue began spreading after Raphinha confided to people close to him that he was facing financial difficulties, which the same publications link to the handling of his earnings.

The story reportedly became public after Raphinha and his wife tried to buy a house in Barcelona worth about 10 million euros, and said they then discovered their financial situation was different from what they had believed.
