Brazil will finish its group stage against Scotland in Miami overnight, at 1:00 a.m. between Wednesday and Thursday, after opening with a 3-0 win over Haiti. Carlo Ancelotti’s team can secure first place with a victory, while Scotland need only a draw to guarantee advancement. Scotland are coming off a 1-0 loss to Morocco and must take at least one point to avoid depending on other results.
Ancelotti has signaled at least one change to his lineup. Ryan, the 19-year-old Bournemouth midfielder, was tested on the right side of the attack and appears set to replace the injured Raphinha. He is currently preferred over Luiz Henrique of Zenit St. Petersburg. Brazil will also have Neymar available for the first time in the tournament, and the No. 10 is expected to make his first appearance, likely in the final minutes.
Casemiro and Douglas Santos, both already on one yellow card, are still expected to start. Ancelotti said he does not intend to rest them for the knockout stage. Scotland may have defender Aaron Hickey back in the squad after he missed the previous match because of injury.
In the same Group 3, Morocco and Haiti will also play. Morocco, level with Brazil on four points, need a win over Haiti in Atlanta to finish first. Coach Mohammed Ouahbi has no injury concerns and is expected to keep the same lineup that beat Scotland, with Achraf Hakimi set for his 99th international appearance. Haiti have lost both of their opening games and are already eliminated.
