Man in His 30s Critically Wounded in Shooting in Jisr az-Zarqa
A serious shooting attack took place Tuesday evening in the village of Jisr az-Zarqa in the Sharon area. A man in his 30s was critically wounded after being shot and was evacuated to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in serious condition and with impaired consciousness.
Police from the Jisr az-Zarqa station arrived at the scene immediately after a report was received at Moked 101. They opened a broad investigation, collected evidence, searched the area for suspects, and took statements from people present at the scene.
Magen David Adom said its teams reached the wounded man at 9:10 p.m. and found him with penetrating injuries and in critical condition. Paramedic Maya Fakhima said, “We saw a man in his 30s, with impaired consciousness and suffering from severe penetrating injuries to his body. We gave him life-saving medical treatment and evacuated him in an intensive care ambulance to the hospital in serious condition.”
The victim was moved to the trauma room at Hillel Yaffe, where he is receiving advanced treatment. Police said the initial assessment is that the shooting was probably criminal in nature, but the exact circumstances are still under investigation. Investigators are continuing to gather findings and question witnesses, while a wider manhunt for the shooters remains underway.
