Maccabi Tel Aviv’s complicated negotiations to sign guard Lundberg are still far from an agreement, with the gap between the sides now described as huge. The report says his representatives initially asked for $1.6 million, while Maccabi was prepared to offer $1.2 million and expected some flexibility, but his value has since risen.
In an interview on “5 Air,” Eric Stillman revealed the new demand: $10 million for three seasons. That figure, if accepted, would be a major jump from the earlier talks and makes a deal significantly more difficult.
For comparison, Lundberg earned about 1.3 million euros last season. Of that amount, Maccabi Tel Aviv paid 800,000 euros and Partizan Belgrade covered the remaining 500,000 euros.
The article says the new demand moves him much farther away from Maccabi Tel Aviv, and it is still unclear whether the sides can bridge the financial gap.
