Netanyahu Tells Defamation Trial Lawyer, “You’re Not Threatening Me”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared at the Tel Aviv District Court to continue his testimony in a defamation lawsuit he filed against journalists Ben Caspit and Udi Segal, and protest activist attorney Gonen Ben Yitzhak. The case concerns claims they published in 2024 about Netanyahu’s medical condition.
During cross-examination by attorney Tali Leiblich, who represents Segal, she asked whether Netanyahu had read the material related to the lawsuit. He replied that he had only “glanced through it.”
Netanyahu then said to Leiblich, “You’re not threatening me, I’ve been here for 10 years, you won’t distract me.” Leiblich responded, “Unfortunately, you do not know your lawsuit.”
