Hapoel Kiryat Shmona has formally reached a two-year agreement with Senegalese winger Amadou Sagna, with an option for one more season at the end of the contract. The 27-year-old right winger is expected to join the club after arriving in Israel, undergoing medical tests, and signing at the team’s offices.
Sagna comes from Guingamp in France’s second division, where he scored nine goals over the past two seasons. Before that, he played for Niort and Stade Briochin in France.
He was also part of Senegal’s youth national team, making eight appearances. In 2019, he finished as the tournament’s runner-up top scorer at the U-20 World Cup, behind Erling Haaland. Sagna scored four goals in that tournament, including a hat trick.
The signing was reported on June 25, 2026, and gives coach Shay Barada a new addition on the wing for Hapoel Kiryat Shmona.
