Hapoel Kiryat Shmona has completed the signing of Senegalese winger Amadou Sanya, who agreed to a two-year deal with an option for one more season. The 27-year-old right winger is expected to join the team after arriving in Israel, passing medical tests, and formally signing at the club offices.
Sanya arrives from Guingamp, where he played in France’s second division over the past two seasons and scored nine goals. Before that, he also played for Niort and Stade Briochin in France.
He is also known for his time with Senegal’s youth national team, where he made eight appearances. In 2019, he finished as the runner-up top scorer at the U-20 World Cup, behind Erling Haaland, who scored nine goals in a single match. Sanya scored four goals in that tournament, including a hat trick.
