A man known to police was shot on Wednesday in the Gush HaGadol neighborhood of north Tel Aviv and was wounded moderately. He suffered a gunshot injury to his hand and was taken to Ichilov Medical Center in the city for further treatment.
Police from the Tel Aviv North Station in the Yarkon district were called to the scene and began collecting evidence and searching for suspects. Investigators are still examining the background and circumstances of the incident.
Initial testimony from the scene suggests the shooting may have happened during a robbery, but police stressed that the investigation is only at an early stage and that all possible directions are being examined simultaneously. The police have opened an investigation.
